February 28: Neptune-Venus Conjunction

Gold and silver have been in an uptrend as expected since the February 21 Neptune-Earth opposition. This will probably end when geocentric Neptune conjuncts Venus on February 28 at gold's 36° (silver's 72°) harmonic.

Notice that Ceres is very close to gold's 72° harmonic. It reaches this harmonic in early March. Silver's 36° Ceres cycle follows a few days later at the same time as a heliocentric Neptune-Venus conjunction, reinforcing this turn. If the metals reverse as a high on February 28 as expected it means that early March will probably be a very important low. More on this later.

Equities will likely also be impacted by Neptune-Venus conjunction since it occurs near the S&P's 72° harmonic. The Sun crosses 72° the following day.

  1. Hi Platy,

What is the natal date which you use for Gold?

Thank you for your great analysis.

  3. Platy, is there a specific date in March that you see as a bottom for gold/silver?

  4. Gold's 36° Ceres cycle is March 2 (should be a low). Silver's is March 6 (should be a low). The Neptune-Venus conjunction is March 6. For reasons that I will explain later, March 6 will probably be a very significant low for the metals (perhaps reaching rectangle support?), if it all pans out the way I think it will. So I imagine maybe gold reaching its low or close to it on the 2nd, and then just hanging out down there until silver has its turn on the 6th, then beginning on the 6th they both have a nice run up.

There are some really big events coming up for gold later this year and I think it is likely to break rectangle support at some point. Not yet.

  8. Platy, do you see a potential high in equities around March 6th or 7th?

  9. What I mean is a turn of some kind down for a few days....

  10. Hi Karen, there is a very interesting configuration at that time that I will write about soon. I think it impacts gold/silver more than equities but there may be some relation to both. I have March 11 as a possible important turn for equities. What are you seeing?

  11. Platy, the US Dollar is going to be key. A strong dollar is anti-inflationary and poison for the precious metals The dollar has broken out of a double bottom and it is possible that it has also made a long term bottom. I can see the potential for a sustained rise in the US Dollar if the US government gets serious about reducing the debt. The key question is whether the strength in the dollar will sow the seeds for the end of the bull market in gold. I still think we have one big surge left in gold but that may have to wait for a pause in the dollar.

  12. Hoi Platy,

I see today a 36 aspect between venus and mars and close to mercury. So, it's a triple aspect. Do you have experience with that.

  13. Thanks Jay. The dollar sure is gaining strength. 88-90 should be strong resistance though.

  14. Hi Stij, I think you have Venus and Mercury switched. I haven't found Mercury to be useful in this method so I usually ignore it. But triple conjunctions are very important and there is one coming up next month that I will talk about soon.

  15. Dear Platy
    Note the connotation
I made money from your Neptune /Earth opposition
I bought Gold at 1578 for a 30 point bounce and sold at 1608
    Thank you
    Bob

  16. Hi Platy, if an important date (such as March 2 ) falls on the weekend, is it more probable see the effect before or after? Thanks sharing your great astro work!

  17. It can happen either day.

  18. Merriman has a big turn and big range day for Gold/Silver around the 4/5th.

I'm seeing a turn of some kind for equities around 6/7th, i guess it's possible it's a high of some kind.

There are some very negative aspects around the 8-10th...so it's very possible we see a low around the 11/12th and head up.

  19. Great that fits with what I was thinking for gold/silver. I'm not as clear on equities. Thanks for the info!!

  20. Hi Platy

I am a little confused about your roadmap. Do you still think PM will go 1400? Or we go up from March 10th?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi Alexja,

I think March 6 will be an important low.

Sometime later this year (maybe not too far off) I think we will see a breakdown to 1400ish. I don't know when yet, we just have to take each step at a time.

  23. Hi Platy,

I hope I didn't switch them. I think the confusion is that my 36 aspect has nothing to do with your penta's or natal. It's just straight helio longitudes of the divers planets. With thanks to Jay for the hint, I constructed in excel something like his model with the MODE-function. It is not so beautiful as his example, because I dont't know the VBA-language of excel. So I just use the simpel excel formula's and skipped in the graph some points that disturbace the view of the crossings. Of course the result show some gaps in the lines but you can easily see where the crossings are or should be.

  24. Ok, I see what you're doing now. Venus and Mars were 36° apart yesterday. That is an interesting way of looking at things!
