February 21: Neptune-Earth Opposition

Instead of providing support, Saturn turning retrograde has served to further push down gold and silver while driving up equities. February 21 is a Neptune-Earth opposition, which is likely to reverse the metals for a few days bounce until the next Neptune aspect hits next week. Neptune is very important to metals since it is currently near silver's 72° harmonic (gold's 36°).

This opposition should affect equities as well, as Neptune is also near the S&P's 72° harmonic.

  1. I've been trying to figure out why Saturn Rx was a high instead of a low for gold. In other words, what was the cause of the low that caused the uptrend on Feb 15 that was reversed by Saturn Rx on the 18th? I think it may have been Ceres 18°. Looking back on my first post on gold, Ceres 18° is very important, and was the cause of the Sep 2010 high:

I have found other examples too.

  2. The precious metals have been following my count like clock work. The stoch. have indicated an oversold condition on a weekly basis but it can stay oversold for a very long time. Gold as I stated in one of these post that it could keep pushing down and it has. I do believe we are going to 1400 sooner than later where the 200 weekly ma is.

  3. With Neptune being a very slow mover, it is going to remain near this sensitive spot on the pentagram for quite a while, isn't it? Months or even years..
If I understand correctly, you are watching the transits of the faster planets over that point to help with shorter term timing.
Now it looks like silver and gold are continuing to go down, would you then set sight on the upcoming conjunction of Venus with Neptune for a potential bottom?

    1. Yes Neptune should continue to be sensitive for years.

I believe gold and silver bottomed today right on schedule and will reverse with the Neptune-Venus conjunction next week.

  4. Hi Platy, First Thanks for all the good job. I was planing to buy Gold, do you think that still goes down? I have read on your older posts that you see another bottom in April. Yesterday they dropped, when do you think that will reverse to Up-trend? Thanks. HM2535

    1. I think we'll have a rally for about 1 week then back down. Early April should be very important and at this time I believe it will be a low.

I am pretty convinced that gold will eventually go to the low 1400's. If that doesn't happen in April it might happen in Aug/Sep.

  5. First time post. Sorry but what day is the Neptune-Venus conjunction next week? And will that day be the bottom for gold and silver?

    1. 28th. I believe it will be a high. The possibility exists that it is a double bottom with today's low.

    2. Hi Platy, this is my first post as well. Would it be possible for you to keep on publishing all major turn dates for each complete month? Just as you did for the month of January for equities and metals published on december 29th 2012. This is quite helpful to better develop strategies ahead of time. At this moment I would be really interested to have this data availabe through the end of March.

  12. Hi Ron, thanks for your interest and your input. I'm really not clear right now which way equities will go in the short term, but I do think we are close to a reversal back up.

The star in the first chart above represent 5 fixed points (72° harmonics) that are very important to silver. Every time a planet passes by one of these points it affects silver's behavior (creating a change in trend). Even more important are conjunctions and oppositions that occur near these points. The midpoints between these 5 points are also very important (36° harmonics), and also (but less so) the midpoint between these 10 points (18° harmonics). Both heliocentric and geocentric orientations are important. The further from the sun/Earth, the more important the CIT. Pluto and mercury are ignored. The S&P (for example) has a different star, which is why the S&P reacts differently to planetary events than silver.

I recommend Brad Cowan's book "Pentagonal Time Cycle Theory" to fully understand this work.

  13. hey platy
    tnks for replying
i found out that i already hv 6 books of bradley c. :)
lot stuff to read [it bassed on w.gann .... but gann also talked a lot about 9 and 10 .and 8 cycles and here it focus mostly on 5 ?] i wanted to ask how can be found the wright star to the silver or s.n.p. ? by the start day of the futuers [birth] do it need some kind of softwhere for that ? most of time i work only with geocentric and i works well. sometimes i wonder to myself if we r not get lost coz of to much details around us what do u think >? thank u ron

  14. Yes the PTCT uses only the star. To find the star, use Jupiter's heliocentric position on the natal date. This is a general rule that does not always work, and is confounded by the difficulty in finding the correct natal date. So it is a lot of work to find the correct star. Any astrology package will work for this.
