Gold/Silver: January 3 Ceres-Venus Opposition

It appears that today's Ceres-Venus opposition (first mentioned here) will be a low for metals as they fill their gap from yesterday.

1/3/2013: Geocentric Ceres-Venus Opposition and Gold Harmonics

  1. Hey Platy,

Noticed on Cycle-trader.com that Cowan sometimes warns of an immediate top or bottom. Have you followed him long enough to see if he has produced results prior to the major turn? He had May 2012 as a "significant" top, yet we moved to higher highs in the next following months to current levels. Not sure if he revised his sentiments at the June bottom. Also How is that book Pentagonal Time Cycle Theory. Im conflicted in trying that one out or the Four-Dimensional Stock Market
Structures and Cycles. Not sure if getting both would be redundant and a waste of money if one is a complete view of the other.

    1. I don't really follow Cowan's calls because I prefer learning the method and applying it myself. But I think he has a good record on his website you can see for yourself.

His May 2012 top was based on the Uranus 18° cycle, which I calculated differently. Please see my dates here:

I recommend PTCT first, and they don't overlap much.

    2. Thanks for the recommendation. Does that book also go into planetary detail?

  2. Based on number of the Beast 666 we are at the 666 week cycle from the last which was in 2000 which give us 12.80 years.

BTW: our daily SPX stochastics have found its way from a low yesterday to overbought in light speed fashion. This is not normal and this just reinforces our view that our divergences and overbought sentiments is telling us that a turn is near whether minor or major.

    1. The 666 week cycle is a specific planetary alignment, next to hit in May 2013. Please see:

  3. Since Dow topped in the first week of JAN 2000. We can count 12.80 years and if each month is .08333 we can calculate that 12.80 years falls on Sept. 2012 (+/-). So far we have been able to hold that high in Oct. 2012., which is pretty close if calculations serves us right.

    1. The relative positions of Earth, Mars and Venus on both dates is nearly identical, and rotated 90°.

    2. Cowan counts the 13y cycle as follows - for the SP500:

      3/16 1962 ... 1/3(12/31) 1974 ... 10/24(10/17) 1987 ... 8/11(8/3) 2000 ... 5/28(5/21) 2013

  4. The newest video goes into Ganns 45 month and 120month cycles. She purchases Gann's Private Ephemeris 1941-1950 $1500 dollars.
Id like to be able to purchase these one day. Must be a treasure trove of secrets.

    1. The ephemeris has some cool stuff but don't expect to be quickly amazed with notes that spell out the secrets. Instead, you best be ready to dig and research a bit or just put it on a shelf.

    2. Thanks MP, Olga does great work! Really good video.

Her 18° Virgo fixed point is 1° from Cowan's Nasdaq 72° harmonic at 17° Virgo.

  5. Hi Platy,
What will be your line in sand gold/silver price to say that the metals are just starting another down leg (vs) gap fill before move up? welcome back.

    1. It has definitely gone beyond gap fill.

This means that the January 3 date was more likely a high than a low. If so, then it will probably be the Ceres cycle that reverses metals back up, Jan 6 for silver and Jan 9 for gold.

  6. Hi Platy
As a long time trader, but very new to Astro trading, please forgive my stupid questions.....
Who decided that Ceres influences Gold / Silver?
Why is Ceres even considered, when it is not a planet?
Why is anything other than a heliocentric approach ever considered?
    kind regards

    1. Hi Bob and welcome to my blog!

Who decided that Ceres influences Gold / Silver?
      God?

Why is Ceres even considered, when it is not a planet?
Ceres is the largest object in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter and is considered a minor planet.

Why is anything other than a heliocentric approach ever considered?
      Because it works.

    2. If you guys haven't already mentioned it, I believe Ceres is a symbol used at the grain exchanges themselves. Why would that be...
