Gold/Silver: January 18 Neptune-Mars Conjunction

January 16th's Jupiter-Venus opposition, first mentioned here and also discussed here, resulted in a top but it was short-lived because today (the 17th) the metals corrected only enough for GLD to fill its gap from the 15th.

Any aspect involving Neptune is important to metals, and the one occurring tomorrow (January 18th) is very interesting. Mars will conjunct Neptune at silver's 72° harmonic trine Ceres and Saturn. At the same time, Earth and Venus will be near 72° harmonics, forming a Golden Triangle with the conjunction.

1/18/2013: Neptune-Mars Conjunction Trine Ceres and Saturn, and Making a Golden Triangle with Earth and Venus at Silver's 72° harmonics
If the metals can make a strong enough rise tomorrow, this could be a major top, perhaps the final top of the gold roadmap I speculated on here before the metals drop back down to rectangle support.

One caveat I will give is that the Golden Triangle is not perfect, so it's possible that the trigger is not made until perhaps when Venus reaches silver's 72° on the 20th, or when Earth and Venus are 144° apart on the 25th. I don't have much experience with Golden Triangles, so we will need to watch to see how important if at all this is to the timing. Earth reached 72° today, which may have been the cause of today's reversal back up.

  1. Platy, thank you so much for this free site! I purchased the Pentagonal Theory book several months ago, and have been struggling with it. I have been following along with you, and some things are starting to sink in, so THANK YOU! 1/21 has Venus Opp 18 degree Sq uranus 36. Could this see a sharp decline in the metals?

    1. Hi Janet, you are welcome!

The Ceres-Venus opposition is on the 29th, not the 21st. There was a problem with the formatting that made it look like it was on the 21st but I fixed it.

  2. Hi Platy,
If today does not turn out to be a top, what are the next major dates to watch closely? Jan 29th? Feb 4th?

  3. There is a Date today on the GANN wheel that if it plays out will be a top of some sort.

    1. Perfect, thanks MP!

Is there a value associated with this?

  4. No value just dates same as your astro wheel but using the Square and triangle to point out. I use this website to get a free software to use the GANN wheel. This wheel is much simpler way for those who don't really understand Astrology or planets I guess. This software also has the square of 9 and 12. I just don't know how to use them yet. But its FREE.

  6. We didn't get much rise today, but I think there's a very good chance the top is in.

  7. Hi Platy. Glad to have found you here! I have started my own blog and want to invite you there. I know nothing about Planetary stuff and I think it adds value as part of a trading strategy, particularly interested in your input on my blog for turn dates (i.e. GMars 72) on the S&P. www.timethetrade.blogspot.com

By the way, why are you no longer with CIT? When did this happen?

    1. Hi SS76, good to see you! Thanks for the invitation, I will check it out.

There were building disagreements. It needed to happen. I left late December.

    2. Well, that will happen I suppose. Just surprised as although timing was off I thought you were always classy and put yourself out there, which I respect immensely.

  8. Platy, silver seemed to have rallied more than gold did, at least it reached 32 overnight. So you are saying the top is in for PM? now it's time for gold to go back to 1560 and silver 26.5? or lower prices? Do you have a timeframe when the next major low might be? What do you think of spx, do you think today might be a top? Sorry for the many questions, love to hear your input

    1. Hi CM, I just want to make clear that the data is what it is, and sometimes my interpretations are wrong. Sometimes I am sure that something will happen and nothing happens or the opposite happens. So there is a lot of learning that goes with this business.

Today's aspect from my POV was pretty important. Neptune conjunctions are extremely reliable, and almost always accurate to +/- 1 day. I had one that was off by 4 days once and it had me very confused. That is rare. This one was joined with an important trine AND a Golden Triangle. It seems like it has the makings of a major turn to me.

We were looking for a top today since the trend was up. Silver got a high, and gold nearly reached its high from yesterday. It looks like a direct hit to me, as long as the trend now goes down.

We also had very high volume yesterday on that reversal. Another clue that a significant CIT has occurred.

The question is whether this is a temporary top or a major top. On that I'm not sure. The Golden Triangle may give us a surprise. Sorry I can't be more definitive.

    2. With regard to the SPX, we're in the timing band for a top but I have a feeling it has not topped yet. Let's see what happens.

  9. PMs on a weekly chart looks to just have started an uptrend, but daily is at overbought range. the daily stochastics would have to turn down and force the weekly to turn back into its oversold range. If this happens we will definitely make lower lows. So be aware of these setups..
